q)Who are you? Where are you from and where do you live now?

a)My name is Angelo Cricchi, I'm born and i live in Rome but i spent most of my personal and professional life abroad.

q)What is it that you do? What media do you use?

a)I'm a (long time)photographer and i use any type of cameras useful to create still and moving images

q)What do you think sets your work apart?

a)Visions, i guess. My memories, my books,my records, my travels and my lover.Professionally my long time experience in the fashion estetic.

q)How long have you been showing your work for? Did you have a “big break?”

a)I always showed my personal work during my photographer career, but in the recent years i focus on my artistic values.

The "Gloomy Sunday "exibithion at MAK museum in Wien (june 2009) could be called my recent big break-

q)What are some things that have inspired you?

a)My recent work is about Icons. I call them" imaginary portraits" and i costantly research ispirations.

Anything around me could be matter of my work. I dont shoot pictures without a long preparation in terms of cast, locations, concepts and so on...

Movies and paintings are the main source of ispirations..like for everyone i guess.

q)What have you been working on recently?

a)"Mysty beethoven erotic parade". the second part of my trilogy (Suicide, Erotism and Holyness)

It was not easy. Sexuality is something very hard to show without be just erotic . Conceptual work and sex doesn't work easily together.

q)Do you listen to music while you create your work? If so, would you give some examples?

a)I m old enough to had been young when the best music ever was on stage.. i was teen between 70's and 80's and i grow up with music.

My i tunes list is over 30.000 songs with appropriate tags and cover. I'm music maniac.

During the shootin I like to put the right songs to ispire models ,and crew.

Not for me.

Thunder Road will be my lifetime sountrack

a)With my wife we are writing and (soon) directing our first movie.

q)What advice do you have for artists looking to show their work?

a)Call, send, ask, knock on doors...im not so good in that but this is the best way....

a)Next thursday 25 nov at Mondo Bizzarro gallery in Rome.

q)Where can people see more of your work on the internet?
